Texas Freemasonry

Freemasonry has deep roots in Texas history. Many of the founders of the Republic of Texas and early state leaders were Masons, including Sam Houston, Stephen F. Austin, and Anson Jones.

The Grand Lodge of Texas was established in 1837, just one year after Texas independence. Today, we continue the proud tradition of building character, supporting our communities, and making good men better.
