What Is Freemasonry?
Freemasonry is the world's oldest and largest fraternity. It is comprised of adult men of good character from every country, religion, race, age, income, education, and opinion who share a belief in a Supreme Being.

Becoming a Mason
To become a Mason, you must meet certain qualifications. The basic requirements are:
- Be a man Freemasonry is a fraternity for men
- Be at least 18 years of age In Texas, you must be 18 or older
- Believe in a Supreme Being Men of all faiths are welcome
- Be of good moral character Live by principles of integrity and honor
- Reside in Texas Or within our jurisdiction

Express Interest
Contact a local lodge or submit an inquiry through our website. A Mason will reach out to answer your questions.
Meet the Brethren
Visit a lodge, attend dinners, and get to know the members. This helps ensure Masonry is right for you.
Petition for Membership
Submit a formal petition. The lodge will conduct a background investigation and vote on your application.
Receive the Degrees
Upon acceptance, you'll receive the three degrees of Masonry: Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft, and Master Mason.
